Election Candidates 2024

Julen Beer Ayo

Having followed City Men and Women for as long as I can remember, it has been an honour to sit on the Trust Board for three years and the Club Board since September 2023.
I bring experience and knowledge of the sports sector from my MSc in International Sport Management, my years as part of the scouting team at City and my day-to-day role as Head of Communications at the Devon Cricket Foundation.
I am passionate about our ownership model. I want to help grow our membership and incentivise increased contributions to strengthen the Trust’s contribution to the Club.

Joshua Curtis-Hale

The Trust has done incredibly well to adapt and grow over the past 20 plus years, but external challenges continue to threaten the future of our ownership model. I think I speak for a sizeable chunk of the match going supporters, when I say that whilst the season has been a success so far, the overall experience has come with its downsides.

We now must contend with such factors as private equity involvement, Sky Sports and international breaks. I’m putting myself forward because I think we (slightly paradoxically) need a fresh face with old ideas, someone with a modern skillset but who is appreciative of the history and ethos of both the club and the game.

As a lifelong supporter of Exeter City Football Club and a Trust member, I have seen the club make significant progress. However, there is still important work ahead.

My focus is on ensuring financial sustainability and engaging the next generation of supporters, particularly those aged 16 to 24, to secure the Trust’s future. I also advocate for building relationships with like-minded clubs, promoting eco-friendly practices, and further investment in infrastructure.

Currently I sit on working groups focused on finance, youth engagement, diversity, and sustainability. I would be honoured to continue representing our supporters and community.

Let’s build a brighter future for Exeter City.

Exeter City FC is more than just a football club; it’s a community. From my first match on the Big Bank in college, I now follow both the men’s and women’s teams home and away. I volunteer as a co-commentator for women’s matches on Grecian+, and am the club’s Her Game Too Ambassador.

I am excited about the opportunity to bring my passion and experience within digital communications to the ECFC Trust Board. Together, we can work towards a future where every supporter feels valued, the club thrives in its community, and we build upon an inclusive environment for all.

Peter Ferlie

It’s been an honour and privilege to have been a Trustee over the last three years, and I would like to be considered for election again.

I have worked with the Community Working Group, helping to forge new relationships in the Exeter area.

This work has helped to introduce new organisations to the Trust & Club which has benefited all concerned.

I believe now is the time for us to start looking at what the next step for the Club & Trust should be. We now need to look forward and make the necessary plans for that step.
