An update from the Chair
Before anything else, may I take this belated opportunity to wish you all a happy and prosperous 2023!
The past 12 months have been filled with drama; new teams to play against, grounds to visit, and challenges to be met. Not least of these was the introduction of a new manager, something that at ECFC happens only rarely!
This year of course, is the 20th anniversary of the Trust becoming the majority shareholder of Exeter City and I hope you’ll join us in celebrating this fact at one of the numerous events we’ll be holding during the year, or by purchasing a souvenir.
To get us started, the Trust have produced a souvenir desk calendar and is available for purchase by e-mailing us at chtg@ecfcst.org.uk or naturally, from the club shop.
Work for the Supporters' Trust
At present the Trust have 2 officer vacancies.
Later this year Trust secretary Phil Burden will be leaving to go travelling and we’re keen to recruit a replacement as soon as possible to ensure there is a detailed handover. The role of Secretary is vital to the efficient running of the Trust, and we would estimate requires approximately 7 hours per week, though this might increase considerably during the election of Trustees and the arrangements for the Annual General Meeting. As such, some re-imbursement would be available to cover expenses and time.
We are also seeking, urgently, a new Membership Secretary. The Trust are about to migrate to a new cloud-based membership system and so this is an ideal time to take up the role.
If you’re interested in either of these roles then please, contact us at enquiries@weownexetercityfc.co.uk. We’d love to hear from you!
On Thursday 19th January we hope to hold a forum at which the Club’s year end report will be presented to members and supporters alike. Please check our usual social media feeds for more information.
As always, if you have any queries at all, please feel free to contact us on the e-mail address above.
Have a great January and see you soon!
Kindest regards,
Nick Hawker
Chair of the Supporters' Trust
