Peter and Jane Shearing enjoy visit to St James Park

Updated: Apr 7, 2022

Feedback from legendary goalkeepers talk with the Senior Reds

Last Friday the Senior Reds hosted legendary goalkeeper Peter Shearing and his daughter Jane at St James Park, prior to attending the 2-1 win against Stevenage on Saturday.

The event was popular amongst the attendees and Jane has got back in touch with the Senior Reds to express the pairs enjoyment of the weekend.

"Thank you all, together with everyone that attended, for making the visit back to Exeter City Football Club so memorable for Dad, and myself.
"He loved every minute of it, from finding the car parking space saved with his name on it, to seeing the new, improved stadium facilities, meeting everyone and giving his speech (always the showman!!).
"And then it all being capped off with a City win in glorious sunshine.
"My nephew has obviously been watching your website as he forwarded me a link this morning to the video diary of the visit. It's really professional and although I haven't seen him yet today, I know that he is absolutely going to love it. It's got a really professional feel about it, so an extremely well done for even getting your IT up to a great standard.
"Wishing you all and Exeter a fantastic future, a club we will never forget."

We're glad Peter and Jane enjoyed their weekend in Devon and look forward to welcoming them back at any time.
