Gary Quick
Trust Board - Trustee
Trust Finance Working Group (Lead)
My journey with Exeter City began in 1978, when I first visited St James Park with my dad – not to see City, but to watch St Luke’s College FC take on a Chelsea XI. The rest is history, I was hooked!
I bring 40 years of experience in financial services, covering retail banking, compliance, and financial planning. As a Chartered Financial Planner, I’ve served at board level for a regional financial planning practice, helping lead the business through significant change. I’ve also chaired the resources committee at a local primary school, overseeing finance and property matters during a period of significant budgetary constraints. Over recent years, I’ve grown increasingly concerned that the Trust has ceded too much control of the Club and has not delivered the strong governance expected of a body representing thousands of supporters. The Trust must be more than a passive partner – it should be a confident, capable steward of our ownership model, ensuring that decisions are made transparently and in the best interests of both the Club and its members.
