Communications & Engagement
The Communications and Engagement Working Group ensures that members and supporters are kept well-informed of Trust news, activities, and decisions.
The group is responsible for managing the Trust's website, newsletters, social media channels, and printed promotional materials, as well as developing new resources to improve member engagement and strengthen the Trust's public presence.
Community
The Community Working Group engages positively with supporters, partners, and the wider public to promote the ethos and values of the Trust - both locally and nationally.
The group has driven some of the Trust's most successful community initiatives, including 'One Game One Community' and 'Kick It Out', both of which have been adopted more widely across the game. Having recently focused on history and heritage, the group is now refocusing its efforts to build a clear identity around community outreach and demonstrate how the Trust connects with people beyond the matchday experience.
Communications & Engagement
The Finance Working Group provides oversight of both Club and Trust finances, ensuring transparency and sound financial governance across the organisation.
On the Club side, the group receives and reviews financial information from Exeter City FC, scrutinising where necessary and reporting its findings to the Trust Board. On the Trust side, the group manages day-to-day finances, prepares the annual budget, produces monthly variance reports, oversees the independent audit of accounts, and ensures these are presented at the Trust's Annual General Meeting. The group also gives considered thought to the level of Trust reserves appropriate both to the Trust's own needs and to its ability to support the Club.
Strategy Working Group
The Strategy Working Group was established in January 2026 to develop a long-term vision for the Trust and chart a clear path forward for fan ownership at Exeter City in today's challenging football landscape.
The group is responsible for managing the Trust's website, newsletters, social media channels, and printed promotional materials, as well as developing new resources to improve member engagement and strengthen the Trust's public presence.
Ownership and Membership
The Ownership and Membership Working Group is the Trust's primary point of contact with its members, working to ensure that every member genuinely feels they own their football club.
The group leads on growing Trust membership, organising member forums (a minimum of three per year), coordinating fundraising activity, and making sure that the needs and views of members are central to everything the Trust does.
